Cutting out the grill and removing the passenger side wheel

I’m a bit over a month behind on posting these. 

New Tools: Engine Stand And Reciprocating Saw

I got two new tools this week, an Engine Stand and a Reciprocating Saw. 

Measuring the Engine Compartment

I did some measurements on the engine compartment tonight in preparation for cutting off the rusted metal.

Pulling the Engine

I finally pulled the engine out of my mustang today.

First I removed the transmission cross member.

Then I attached the engine lift, unbolted the engine from its mounting points and pulled the engine. 

With the engine out I removed the transmission so I can get the engine ready to go on a stand.
