Removing the passenger side kick plate in a 1968 Mustang Coupe

Well, I keep promising to do the fender next and I keep not doing that. I think the hood will actually be next so who knows when the fender will actually come off.

Several videos on the internet said there was a nut behind the kick plate in 65 and 66 mustangs that held on the fender. Apparently that changed for the 67 or at least the 68 because there was no nut behind my kick plate.

The kick plate is held on by two screws.

Remove those and there is a bunch of insulation behind the plate.

Behind the insulation I found relatively solid metal but no holes for taking off the fender.

Next time the hood, maybe.
